lazy, lazy. the weather's turned, i have a massive array of chocolate drinks to fend off the cool, NONE OF WHICH IS TASTY. cos i am a cheapskate. it is just as well.bored. update, the room is neater now, sort of. i really have new trainers that desperately need blemishing, from lkf too. haha. okay summon the discipline.
been wanting to eat SOMETHING for ages now. like itches dead spine centre, i'm not too sure what the craving is for. so. maybe trout, yup. some trout would be nice. pout.
TWO MORE ESSAYS! WHEE! two and a half. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh. i want to go somewhere now. haaaaaaate homework. haaaaaate exams. aaaaaaaaaaargh. okay i'll come back with a triumphant update about having knocked one off the list. nap first, bye.

heh. the solution: double/triple chocolate sachet mixes to taste.
one more essay today and straight mugging thereafter, sort of. it already feels like the holidays!
christmas, new year's. hahah this year's passed far too quick. many high notes. more to come.

shake shack shake up
life's been in a bit of a mess lately. it's apparent when:- making my bed doesn't transform my half of the room into instantaneous neatness, since i find afresh every morning i have no choice but shift stacks of papers and books back on it.. so that i can eat at the study desk.
- i am completely owned by the flights of elevators, i am supermart baggage-laden and triumphant but my heart has to thump a little too hard. it's embarrassing to act all hurried peppering the climb up with Excuse mes.. coughed out in between heaving gasps.
- i miss a massage at shenzhen cos laundry had to be done, there was simply nothing else to wear out. mildly funny when guys wait till this point, but plain disgusting otherwise. never again, i declare.
i'll get everything in order. i've stocked up the veggies and red ruby, i've swept my floor and moisturised my elbows, i've got enough fabric softener now, i'll find myself a new pair of running shoes and take the shuffle out on many spins, i'll do homework and sleep more both, i can't wait to pay my next credit card bill, i'll go easy on the cold cereal and cold turkey on pocky and m&ms. i might even stop to the count the number of Is in this post.
***
speaking of pocky. it's the SMARTEST invention ever. it's actually SO much cracker at once, i never realised until the horrifying realization during a jam so bad i gave up and walked - subconscious repentance for about all those late night pockylories maybe.
anyway, bunch the sticks of pocky together in your head and slice breadthwise (not the head..). how many chocolate covered crackers do you you get? : (
but that chocolate-surface maximization, Mmmmmmmm. probably why Japanese Genius alliterates.

is ringing in my hea-rt
confused boy is the current favourite. is sending me our carols. is about to trigger a heart attack, not of the cardiac arresting sort. is still a month from christmas, how???***
update, update. boys are useless and jh is the most reliable, haha didn't we already all know that!!
leave a note if you want them carols (this goes out to everyone)!!
***
is all coming together nicely now. another year almost over! has been a good one, would be a greedy girl if i ask for any more. don't want to jinx anything, but we're moving again maybe (tipping off the island i always say, except now it's happening and am no longer just sayin'), in my head i often see walls of aubergine and tatami mats, have put up an ad for a cello on craigslist so we know where my money's going if a bargain surfaces. need to stop buying myself biggish-ticket 21st birthday presents haha, esp when am already practically halfway to 22?

i am slowly coming around to the idea that i don't have to go to school to learn what i want to know, so i don't have to freakin' set myself research topic questions comparing constitutional rights and legislative inteference from the mothership between hk/PRC and scotland/UK. i could, but i am a well-meaning nerd. and illdisciplined. so we'll see if i can get away with writing about enforcement of judgments between hk and china. i know the arbitration part (it's a part of this other monstrous paper i'm writing now) and philip smart is going to teach me the contractual/tortious part tomorrow. which means a successful topic change will effectively also prepare me for the conflicts exam. very nice evelyn. if you'd just taken your mind off trying NOT to get started on those four scottish texts sharing your bed earlier, you would have come to this stressfree solution AND saved yourself four ugly zits.so we see what the prof says. PLEASE let me change research focus pleaseeeeee. sigh. bite, chew. bite. chew. WHEN WILL I EVER LEARN.
argh. COP OUT, out.

the post all about me
no graphics to put up until i have the shots picturing proper humans. all the pseudo-scenics i took on my own aren't going to interest anybody, i know.japan. i'm a lil sick of talking about how much fun i had, cos that's all i've been doing since i've been back. i am of course woefully undertravelled, but some cities i go to unimpress me, some i fall in love with enough to want to stay for a long while. i would love to see japan again (and again, and again, sporadically) so they really ought to grant me permanent visitor's status. need to go back and hit mt fuji, tokyo disney, the fish market, a coupla shrines or hot springs, you know, be the disciplined tourist and uhm.. have more horsemeat
yeah. Gomen, but aishuteru!
fukuoka's gorgeous. it's my favourite of the three cities (tokyo/kyoto were the other two), quite laid back, rather suburban american, or at least what i know of that.. yeah it looked like version 21.7 of Kanab (very boring town in Arizona.. seriously. 100000000x more boring than that bit of Xiamen we saw; nothing to do, in other words), had the best ra-menS, THE BEST sashimi freaking hell VIC!!!!!!!!!, some random stuff like teriyaki chicken conveyor belt sushi, fatty and smokey and 2sgd, and perfect weather. and victor is the man.
and now i can negotiate traffic on a shimano although there were many more close shaves than i'd care to admit, let's see, one of them involved squealing brakes down a steep incline (decline?), waking the neighbourhood on a sunday morning haha. for those in honks, that slope was not unlike the windy pokfield road behind our school. i am wimp. vic probably spent more time turning back to check on me then navigating forward, and was so very gentlemanly about my embarrassingly wobbly girlpace. but it's all cool. now i can cycle in a dress barely awake tote-ing a handbag rushing for the bullet train, without knocking anyone else over.
***
it's definitely karma.
lost forty (hk) bucks at Happy Valley today, freaking Inspiration ran a very uninspired race. nevermind, there's always next week, this is post-seminar winding down after all. beats crappy drinks kinda. horsies can be very handsome
(and tasty.)
***
halloween! i had a copout costume, the eye was bad i had to keep the glasses on, so i was a Yoko/jOno mix with a cardboard two-dimensional guitar tagged on like a tie good for makeshift strumming. come to think of it, i was dressed in half drag?! no..oo.. ahhahah. okay what a flop of a outfit.
BUT, my white sheets adorned freddie's greekgodly self very nicely, let me send some traffic his way, i'm sure pictures are coming right up - crux-gemmata.blogspot
and for fashioning an origami hat out of intelli-print (The Wall Street Journal, which costs nothing here, literally) i deserve a pat on the shoulder.
so anyway, i had fun, sort of. was a lil buzzed on the scotch, proving myself to be quite the lightweight, loquacious nonalcoholic, although it wasn't so funny when i fell flat on my face, and by some stroke of luck was not trampled on by the bizarre crowd at lankwai

TIME TO CRACK THE BOOKS OPEN, GARGH.
***
time to crank up the exercise engine, although last week was all of walking/cycling. dropping lacrosse though, being the only girl at practices is so unfun that even the novelty and romance of the sport cannot entice sufficiently.
