the post all about me

no graphics to put up until i have the shots picturing proper humans. all the pseudo-scenics i took on my own aren't going to interest anybody, i know.

japan. i'm a lil sick of talking about how much fun i had, cos that's all i've been doing since i've been back. i am of course woefully undertravelled, but some cities i go to unimpress me, some i fall in love with enough to want to stay for a long while. i would love to see japan again (and again, and again, sporadically) so they really ought to grant me permanent visitor's status. need to go back and hit mt fuji, tokyo disney, the fish market, a coupla shrines or hot springs, you know, be the disciplined tourist and uhm.. have more horsemeat

yeah. Gomen, but aishuteru!

fukuoka's gorgeous. it's my favourite of the three cities (tokyo/kyoto were the other two), quite laid back, rather suburban american, or at least what i know of that.. yeah it looked like version 21.7 of Kanab (very boring town in Arizona.. seriously. 100000000x more boring than that bit of Xiamen we saw; nothing to do, in other words), had the best ra-menS, THE BEST sashimi freaking hell VIC!!!!!!!!!, some random stuff like teriyaki chicken conveyor belt sushi, fatty and smokey and 2sgd, and perfect weather. and victor is the man.

and now i can negotiate traffic on a shimano although there were many more close shaves than i'd care to admit, let's see, one of them involved squealing brakes down a steep incline (decline?), waking the neighbourhood on a sunday morning haha. for those in honks, that slope was not unlike the windy pokfield road behind our school. i am wimp. vic probably spent more time turning back to check on me then navigating forward, and was so very gentlemanly about my embarrassingly wobbly girlpace. but it's all cool. now i can cycle in a dress barely awake tote-ing a handbag rushing for the bullet train, without knocking anyone else over.

it's definitely karma.

lost forty (hk) bucks at Happy Valley today, freaking Inspiration ran a very uninspired race. nevermind, there's always next week, this is post-seminar winding down after all. beats crappy drinks kinda. horsies can be very handsome

(and tasty.)

halloween! i had a copout costume, the eye was bad i had to keep the glasses on, so i was a Yoko/jOno mix with a cardboard two-dimensional guitar tagged on like a tie good for makeshift strumming. come to think of it, i was dressed in half drag?! no..oo.. ahhahah. okay what a flop of a outfit.

BUT, my white sheets adorned freddie's greekgodly self very nicely, let me send some traffic his way, i'm sure pictures are coming right up - crux-gemmata.blogspot

and for fashioning an origami hat out of intelli-print (The Wall Street Journal, which costs nothing here, literally) i deserve a pat on the shoulder.

so anyway, i had fun, sort of. was a lil buzzed on the scotch, proving myself to be quite the lightweight, loquacious nonalcoholic, although it wasn't so funny when i fell flat on my face, and by some stroke of luck was not trampled on by the bizarre crowd at lankwai

TIME TO CRACK THE BOOKS OPEN, GARGH.

time to crank up the exercise engine, although last week was all of walking/cycling. dropping lacrosse though, being the only girl at practices is so unfun that even the novelty and romance of the sport cannot entice sufficiently.
