woah, it's been a while. i wouldn't have been able to log in if this space weren't linked to my gmail account! so - between the last post and this, the afore-advertised concerts have come and gone. thanks, all who came to see me and us. means a lot to me. it's also okay if you didn't come, i think i was too embarrassed to really insist. but you missed out! if there's a next time i will try harder to convince you.it's been so long since In Song, the buzz's obviously faded. i felt particularly cool being part of the choir after Janger and really wanted the rest of the kiddos sitting near me to be eavesdropping when i shamelessly announced that. i think the my favourite part about singing with chorale is that after all these years, it's well within my comfort zone so it's manageable (even when it isn't easy) and relatively stressfree = almost always enjoyable. anyway, our recordings still give me the fuzzies. good stuff.
and it's been about a fortnight since the curtains fell for the last time on our kopi-brewing stage. acting IS tough and acting funny IS EVEN TOUGHER. it was tedious and so stressful and a real lesson in patience but all worth it. i'm not even sure myself whether i prefer the process or the product. i do find myself wishing the audience could have seen what went on behind the scenes though.. those were the real show stoppers.
in other news, purple is probably the my colour of the season, which is about right since it's almost time for rich autumnal hues. yesterday i had to make a conscious decision to reject purple bedspreads or will soon begin to feel like a worm curling up in the insides of a juicy grape. but it's a sweet life, i AM happy and very thankful, it's a fine line between jinxing oneself and counting one's blessings, so let's hope i'm toeing it right, keep it up keep it up.
this time last year i think i was working on a number of research papers too, and specifically i think i got dragged out to TST for beer, semi-nekkid jolly german men and pretzels. once again, where has the year gone?
