just a little
been a little busy/relatively stress-free/hanging out etc. life reduced into a sentence! shopping's such a lose-lose activity but the cashier's ka-chingching!! is !!!. speaking of buying thrill, nothing beats the bang you get out of six bucks renting a racer! need to hit the park on weekdays to hone dem skillz - or, invest in a whistle (the rented bikes haven't bells, haha)and i think i finally get the beach bum thing. will never laugh at budding surfers at east coast park again, not when i was the loser waiting for waves to smash me flat back into the sand (without makeshift board even)
plus, i ought to just reply my own mail straightaway, but let it be said here that i'm glad for real letters and real friendships and real places. i think coming from such a little nation puts a very different spin on things. amongst the ridiculous theories i come up with (like describing the opposite-sex you'd be.. seriously that one works. let me sabo somebody here like you know, you'd want to be a kind boy who looks nice and is devoted enough and is quiet but still has people paying attention to you - don't lie) it's that we've got so little room to share and we (un?)knowingly dance tangos journeying to the perfect interpersonal distance and as the story goes, sometimes we overcomepensate. i could say more, but this is incoherent enough - the gist is, if we could only put a little more distance between all of us, the effort it'd take to keep things up would be the best test of authenticity.
